Pink Shirt Day 2018 is here, and at the Bryce Hansen Team Office we take bullying very serious. There is no room for bullying in an office environment, or any other place.

It's amazing how a simple act of kindness can make a difference in the day of a co-worker.  Imagine that you are working at your desk, and suddenly your co-worker announces that she is going to see her favorite barista for a hard earned cup of Joe. Your co-worker takes an extra minute to ensure that everyone working in the office is included when being asked if they would like a coffee. Yes, it is good manners, but it also keeps everyone feeling like they are part of the same team.  It would be terrible if the same 2 co-workers brought coffee for everyone but excluded another.  For…

Does this sound like YOUR home?

Spring is in bloom in the Comox Valley! Surely you know what that means – it’s prime Real Estate season. The Comox Valley is no longer Vancouver Island’s best-kept secret, with out-of-town buyers, Canadian military postings, and of course, our local savvy investors. And can you blame them? Our mild climate and stunning natural beauty offers THE unparalleled lifestyle for families, retirees, and young people alike.

You’ve likely heard in the news that our inventory is low, and we still find ourselves in a very active market, which is only picking up. Properties are being snapped up by savvy buyers (sometimes even before the For Sale sign breaks ground!) and selling for record-breaking prices.

Buying in a busy market often leads to multiple offers...are you ready?

Bidding wars! As we currently find ourselves in a heated sellers market here in the Comox Valley, our buyers MUST be prepared for multiple offer situations. With home prices across Courtenay and Comox continuing to climb, now is an ideal time to get in. You just need to be prepared to take a few additional measures to ensure you can secure the home of your dreams.

Here are a few strategies to help YOU come…

This is where we connect with industry leaders, suppliers, and thinkers/movers/shakers who help us bring fresh ideas back to our home here in the Valley. Keeping on pulse of what is happening in our Canadian (as well as American) markets is of key importance when it comes to projecting future trends and shifts – helping keep our friends and families informed.

We recently returned from the RE/MAX R4 International Convention at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, where approximately 6,000 agents from 62 countries convened - making it one of…

Tempted to put your home on the market, but unsure if you should wait the New Year? Or perhaps, circumstances are pushing you to sell during the winter months.

Surprisingly, the holiday season offers many advantages to sellers.

Less Competition – with far less choice on the market, your home is apt to receive more attention from prospective buyers, and you can often ask for a higher price point.

Buyers Mean Business – Winter buyers operate with a sense of urgency, wanting to get in before Christmas time. Our winter buyers are typically determined AND qualified – understandably, the ‘looky-loos’ tend to stay inside during the cooler months!

Don’t forget - the reasons people look for a new home – relocation, a new job, growing family or…

Alongside spring, fall is recognized by experts as the second most popular time to buy. Why? Fall brings different advantages to our buyers, such as...

Tired sellers

A tired seller is often a motivated seller – meaning they’ll do what they can to turn over the keys to you! This spring marked an intensely hot market across the province; giving some…

Chances are, you’ve seen our Facebook updates about the incredible Motorcycle for Miracles fundraising journey this summer - an epic motorcycle ride by father/daughter duo Bruce and Holly Johnson across Canada to raise funds for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. These hospitals provide comfort, treatment and hope to millions of sick kids and their families across Canada each year.
