With Mount Washington Alpine Resort at our fingertips, the Comox Valley is the BEST place on Vancouver Island to experience winter. We celebrate winter each January with a two-week long community festival called WinterFest. This year the event runs from January 13 – 29 where event goers will enjoy daily activities, including skiing and skating, plus an awesome line-up of après, like live music and comedians! 

The WinterFest Fun Zone is the highlight for locals. Downtown Courtenay transforms into a winter wonderland with a skating rink, ice carving, family movie nights, buskers, hockey games and performances.
