In the Comox Valley, we are filled with pride and appreciation for all that our veterans sacrificed so we can live so freely.

During the period leading up to Remembrance Day, millions of Canadians wear a Poppy as a symbol of national pride and respect. This represents our pledge to never forget.

Thousands of generous volunteers offer their time to distribute poppies within our communities. Although the poppies are given freely, any donations collected go directly to the Poppy fund, which provides financial assistance and support to Veterans, including Canadian Armed Forces and RCMP, and their families who are in need.

In support of our local veterans and families, we are doing a special Remembrance Day poppy recognition on our Facebook page.
