Easter is on its way, which means a nice long weekend with an abundance of festive Easter events to enjoy around the Comox Valley! We believe that spending memorable occasions like this with our families and friends is hands-down the best way to enjoy the beautiful area we live in.

If you’re in the Courtenay area this weekend, stop by the Springtime Promenade on March 20 from 11am – 12:15pm for crafts and a visit from the Easter Bunny! This event is $8/family and pre-registration is required. Details can be found here. 

There are a ton of events happening throughout Easter weekend. 

If you have kids under the age of 10, you’ll want to check out the Easter Egg Hunt in Cumberland on Saturday, March 26 at 11am at the Mine Heritage Park.

Housing Market Shows No Signs of Slowing Down

Nanaimo, BC - The housing market in the VIREB area showed no signs of slowing down in February, with sales activity continuing in the same vein as January.

In February 2016, 407 single-family homes sold compared to 282 last February, an increase of 44 per cent. Month over month, sales were up by 58 per cent from the 258 sales processed in January 2016. Last month’s active listings totalled 1,527, down 23 per cent from the 1,990 reported in February 2015.
